World War 2 Naval Planes:
The F6F was a larger and more powerful version of the Gumman’s F4F. The F6F was used primarily in the Pacific theater of war. There were over 12,000 F6F produced during the war. The Hellcat planes were credited with over 80% of all enemy aircraft shot down by United States Navy planes during the war to the amount of nearly 5,000.
