From Rahul Mahajan to Hollywood’s Mel Gibson, here’s a look at the infamous wife beaters.

Rahul Mahajan’s second wife Dimpy Ganguly once walked out of his home alleging abuse. Dimpy then said that Rahul used to beat her up regularly. There were allegations that he used to abuse his ex-wife Shweta Singh too.

Bigg Boss 4 winner Shweta Tiwari has also been a victim of domestic violence. Her ex-husband Raja Choudhary used to assault and abuse her that made her lodge a complaint against him.

Zeenat Aman – the vamp of 70s also had a bitter married life. Her husband Mazhar used to beat her up often which ultimately led to their separation.

Nicolas Cage also got arrested recently for domestic abuse and for allegedly shoving his wife third Alice Kim in an inebriated state.

Chris Brown was arrested for beating up his then girlfriend R&B singer Rihanna. Rihanna had to be hospitalized with severe bruises on her face. In this photo provided by TMZ, a badly bruised face of Rihanna is shown.

Mel Gibson was arrested for assault on his ex-wife Oksana Grigorieva. She alleged that he hit her on face, breaking her teeth.

Bad boy of Hollywood Charlie Sheen is alleged to have shot his then fiancee Kelly Preston in the arm. Recently, Sheen claimed that he did not shoot Kelly, but it was she herself who caused the gun to fire and injured herself in the infamous 1990 incident.

Hotel heiress Paris Hilton is also a victim of abuse. Her ex-boyfriend, Backstreet Boy Nick Carter used to punch her on face and she openly displayed the bruises to photographers. Nick denied all such allegations though.

Terrance Howard wasarrested for hitting his wife in 2001. When he heard about Chris Brown’s arrest, he is said to have remarked: “It’s just life, man. Chris is a great guy. He’ll be alright. And Rihanna knows he loves her, you know? They’ll be alright.”
