Preparation Of Potlakaya Kobbari Vepudu:
Ingredients:
Potlakayalu / snake gourd – 2 medium size
Coconut grated – 1/2 Cup
Red chillies – 4
Garlic cloves – 6
Mustard – 1 tsp
Zeera – 1tsp
Urad dal – 2 tsp
Curry Leaves – 6
Oil – 2 Tbsp
Salt
Method:
1. Wash potlakaya/snake gourd and cut into thin rings.
2. Heat oil in a pan and do the seasoning with mustard, zeera, urad dal, red chillies, garlic and curry leaves.
3. Add cut gourd and enough salt and cover with lid. Let it cook in medium flame for about 10 mins or until done, stirring in between.
4. Increase the flame to High and add the coconut. Let it fry for 2 more mins.
That’s it! Hot garlic flavored potlakaya kobbari vepudu is ready to serve with gheed white rice or with sambhar rice/rasam rice.
